One of the most popular aspects of McLeod Software’s User Conference is an hour of free one-on-one training and support on any version of LoadMaster and PowerBroker from our highly experienced software professionals.

When you register for the conference, please indicate your desire for one-on-one training and support. An email with a link to a training questionnaire will be sent to you. Complete the questionnaire to help us better identify the software expert to assist you during your training.

McLeod University Classes

On Wednesday, September 28th, we host McLeod University. These full-day classes provide an in-depth focus on a specific product or operations subject. All classes are for users of LoadMaster and PowerBroker. These classes carry an additional fee.

  • Custom Financials & Advanced Accounting Class
    This two-part class will provide in-depth training on the Custom Financials report writer tool as well as advanced accounting training. The Custom Financials portion of the class will be hands-on, creating financials ranging from a simple income statement to more advanced reports to include revenue/cost per mile, percentages, budget information, and prior period / year activity. We will also review the creation of a balance sheet, a cash flow statement, and consolidated financials across multiple companies. During the advanced accounting portion of the class, we will review key settings affecting the accounting flow, address common questions in Billing & AR, Settlement, and Accounts Payable modules, and provide best practices for account reconciliations.

  • Optimize Your Brokerage Operations
    The class will cover optimizing the current tools available in PowerBroker to their fullest. We will provide a deep dive into the setup Master Files, CRM, Bids, Planning Screen Organization, Covering Loads, Track & Tracing along with Onboarding and Carrier Relations.

  • Introduction to McLeod IQ and Power BI (Beginner)
    McLeod IQ with Power BI allows for visualization and insight into your data, enabling you to make better data-driven decisions. Choosing the wrong visuals for the situation or audience or having too much information on a report can lead to meaningless reports and low adoption by consumers. In this class we will introduce you to the basics of reporting and dashboard creation with McLeod IQ and Power BI. We will also cover best practices for data analytics, including report structure, formatting, visualizations, and report distribution. This class is an introductory level class in data analytics for beginner level McLeod IQ and Power BI users or McLeod customers that would like to have hands on, pre-purchase exposure to McLeod IQ.
    • Beginning to intermediate Power BI skills
    • Open to existing McLeod IQ customers or McLeod customers that may be interested in purchasing McLeod IQ
    • No laptop needed (laptops will be provided for class attendees)

  • Taking Power BI and McLeod IQ to the Next Level (Intermediate)
    Go beyond the basics with McLeod IQ and Power BI with this intermediate level class. In this class we will be learning techniques and formulas that will assist with taking your already created reports to the next level in functionality and appeal. This class will cover topics such as date calculations, reference tables, using the data view to sort and organize data, and creating custom measures using SWITCH and VAR formulas in DAX.
    • Existing McLeod IQ customers that have completed full McLeod IQ training (onsite or remote)
    • Intermediate working knowledge of the McLeod IQ product
    • Intermediate Microsoft Power BI skills
    • No laptop needed (laptops will be provided for class attendees)
