National Mall Monuments & Museums Excursion
Saturday, Sunday & Wednesday
Tour the National Mall, an area where many of Washington, D.C.’s most popular museums and monuments are located. Most of these museums and attractions offer free admittance and are within walking distance of the shuttle drop off locations:

Includes an area map; shuttle ride includes a licensed Washington, D.C. professional guide to provide commentary and point out attractions. Continuous shuttles from the hotel run 11:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, Sunday & Wednesday.
International Spy Museum Tour
Explore the only public museum in the United States dedicated to the “art” of Espionage! Featuring the largest collection of international espionage artifacts ever placed on public display, the International Spy Museum showcases artifacts illuminating the work of spies and espionage operations as well as brings to life the strategies and techniques of the people behind some of the most secretive missions in world history.
Includes a ticket to tour the interactive museum. Shuttles depart from the hotel at 2:00 pm and return at 6:00 pm Saturday.
A Monumental Evening Tour
Check out our nation’s capital and see the best of Washington D.C. illuminated at night! A far different monument experience at night, you will drive past the White House, view the Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian Institution Museums adorning the National Mall. Guests may walk onto the National Mall and experience the World War II Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the reflecting pool, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and the Korean Veterans Memorial. Wear your walking shoes.
Includes a licensed Washington, D.C. professional guide. Shuttles depart from the hotel at 6:30 pm and return at 10:00 pm Saturday.
McLeod Software Open, Golf Outing
Join us for the McLeod Open Golf Outing on Sunday morning at Lake Presidential Golf Club. Whether you are a seasoned golfer or a beginner, Lake Presidential is a beautifully groomed, championship caliber course offering a versatile 18-hole, par-72, 7,230-yard layout winding through heavily wooded terrain and rich, natural expanses. Generous landing zones and five sets of tees make for a balanced test for golfers of all skill levels and a great venue. Golf shuttle departs from the hotel at 6:30 am Sunday. Tournament is 8:00 am – 2:00 pm.
Arlington National Cemetery Honor and Remember Tour
The country's most revered burial ground and one of the capital's most poignant sights. Guests to Arlington National will visit the Kennedy gravesites, including the eternal flame where President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline are interred. Memorial markers for the Kennedy brothers Robert, Ted and Joe are also near the area of the eternal flame. Witness the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The ceremony is an unforgettable experience conducted by Sentinels with the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). The elaborate ritual lasts approximately seven minutes and is a sight not to be missed. Sentinels salute the Unknown who have been symbolically given the Medal of Honor. The Old Guard is proud to honor all American service members who are “Known But to God.”

Visit George Washington’s Mount Vernon
An American landmark and an enduring tribute to our Nation’s first President, George Washington, guests of Mount Vernon will tour the mansion and the surrounding service buildings, the interactive education center, and the Washington family museum, where personal effects of George and Martha are on display. Bring your walking shoes.
Includes a ticket to tour the mansion and grounds. Shuttles depart from the hotel at 1:00 pm and return at 5:00 pm Sunday.
VIP U.S. Capitol Tour – Private, Behind the Scenes
Following the User Conference Opening & Reception, we will hold private tours of the U.S. Capitol Building. The U.S. Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world and is home to the U.S. Congress and its two legislative bodies, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. On this VIP experience guests will learn how Congress works, visit the Rotunda, Statuary Hall and the Crypt. Walking shoes recommended.
Includes a U.S. Capitol Historical Society Guide and Member of Congress. Shuttles depart from the hotel at 8:00 pm and return at 11:00 pm.
A Night at the Museum! Dinner Event at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
Capping off our first full day of User Conference, McLeod Software will host the Monday evening dinner at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Reserved exclusively for UC2020 attendees, guests will have the opportunity to dine amongst the museums amazing artifacts and displays.
Continuous shuttles from the hotel run 6:30 – 9:30 pm Monday.
Dinner Cruise on the Potomac River
Cruise with McLeod Software down the historic Potomac River. Chartered exclusively for UC2020 attendees, the Spirit of Washington and the Spirit of Mount Vernon are two of Washington D.C.’s most prestigious yachts. These two beautifully appointed vessels each boast three decks, which offer incomparable views of the many iconic sights that D.C. has to offer. Enjoy drinks, dinner, and music while you sail the night away!
Yachts depart promptly at 6:00 pm and return at 9:00 pm Tuesday.
Tours of the U.S. Bureau of Engraving & Printing and White House Visitors Center
The U.S Bureau of Engraving & Printing (BEP) is the largest producer of government security documents (paper money) in the United States, printing billions of dollars. This tour features the various fascinating phases of currency production. The White House Visitor Center exhibit features approximately 100 historical artifacts, interpretive panels, looping videos of photos and archival footage, and interactive elements. The tour will also include a walk past the U.S. Treasury.
Includes tickets for both tours. Shuttles depart hotel at 8:30 am and return at 11:30 am Wednesday.
